Kathy P. Mongeon

Personal History

A native of Rhode Island, Kathy has been a licensed trainer since 1982, which at the time made her the youngest female conditioner in the US.

Kathy began showing horses at the age of 4. She became greatly involved with the 4-H competitions throughout the NE area. She next showed hunters throughout NE area until she became a licensed Thoroughbred trainer in 1982.

Kathy began her training career on the New England-Florida circuit for the first few years, she then moved the stable to the NJ-FL circuit from 1987-1991, and then moved to the Florida curcuit fulltime until 1998. She spent seven years learning the ins and outs of two year old training. The experience in So. Florida with two year olds is second to none. The stable now spends the winter months at Gulfstream Park. The summer and fall bases are Monmouth Park and the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

The Stable

The stable is under the direction of trainer Kathy P. Mongeon. Each horse is led to the track with Kathy on the stable pony Prince.

For clients who want a first-class "hands-on" conditioner who will give, personal and attentive care to their Thoroughbred. The Kathy P. Mongeon Stable is a perfect choice.

Kathy prides herself on her own nutritional program, which includes vitamins and natural herbs, depending on each horses individual needs. Whatever therapy is necessary, magnetic therapy, Bio-Scan and Laser therapy are utilized, again based on individual needs.

Kathy is dedicated horse person that truly cares about the horse as an individual as well as your business investment. Her experience and commitment to getting horses race-ready and in top condition are second to none
